This world is fleeting and cannot satisfy, but the Kingdom of God is a treasure worth giving everything for. Jesus calls us to lay down our lives to gain what can never be lost. 

Following up on the previous message of being a True Disciple, this message will focus on the wonderful gift Jesus gives to His followers that will enable them to pay the price of true discipleship. 

Jesus encountered three kids of people in his ministry. 1 )Those who openly opposed him, 2) large crowds who followed him because they loved the works he did and 3) true disciples, who left everything behind to follow him and intimately get to know him.  

What does it mean to finish well in your walk with Christ - staying faithful, running with endurance, and returning to our first love.

God isn't after perfection, but rather obedient hearts that trust Him through every season. It's often in our suffering that we are shaped, learning obedience and discovering His power working through us.

By this the world will know that you are my disciples...

This week we identify one of the great enemies of continually experiencing the presence of God in everyday life. 

The bible teaches us that Christ gave us some gifts to help us grow in our maturity as a believer. One of these gifts is quite surprising, but VERY POWERFUL if you allow it to work in your life. 

The Kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field, which a man found and covered it up. Then in his joy he goes and sells all the he has and buys the field. 

Something ha matured when it has reached the most advanced possible stage in a process. What does that look like for Christians? In what areas do we need to glow in order to be called mature followers of Christ?
