Who or What Do I Follow?

It's possible to follow the Holy Spirit or my flesh. Which one am I following?

Not God's Trophy

God is doing a wonderful work of sanctification in all reborn believers through His spirit. But why? So He can display us as His "holy trophies"? No! There is a much greater reason!

Go without knowing

When God asked Abraham to pack up his things and leave everything known to him behind, he obeyed God without knowing the destination.

Can you go without knowing?

If you are willing to go, you would probably experience the best year of your life.

Sowing into the right soil

The Bible teaches us that you will always reap what you sow. It also teaches us that the choice ours. Are we sowing into the flesh or into the Spirit? The fruit will tell.

Hear and Obey

In the bible the two are one and the same thing. Hearing the word of God and obedience to it are the two sides of the same coin. One cannot claim to have heard God without the evidence of obedience to what he has said. 

Gratitude

Our experience of gratitude is enhanced by understanding that something has been done for us that we could not possibly do for ourselves - Such as what God has done reconcile us to Him.  On the other hand, a posture of entitlement does the opposite - leaving us unfulfilled in our relationship with Him.

Center Of It All

This world is fleeting and cannot satisfy, but the Kingdom of God is a treasure worth giving everything for. Jesus calls us to lay down our lives to gain what can never be lost. 

Christ's Gift to His Disciples

Following up on the previous message of being a True Disciple, this message will focus on the wonderful gift Jesus gives to His followers that will enable them to pay the price of true discipleship. 

True Disciple

Jesus encountered three kids of people in his ministry. 1 )Those who openly opposed him, 2) large crowds who followed him because they loved the works he did and 3) true disciples, who left everything behind to follow him and intimately get to know him.  

How will you finish?

What does it mean to finish well in your walk with Christ - staying faithful, running with endurance, and returning to our first love.
